
Onslow County Summer Event Season Kicks Off
Mark your calendars: May 7th is a busy day for Onslow County. Join us as we kick off the 2016 summer event season with three fun events.
Jacksonville Jamboree
A celebration of spring, sports, and family, the Jacksonville Jamboree is a two-day event at the Jacksonville Commons. Come for musical entertainment, the annual ‘Jacksonville’s Got Talent’ Competition, car displays, as well as food and marketplace vendors. North Carolina Paddle Fest
During the week of May 3rd-7th, head over to Hammocks Beach State Park and check out new products from some of the top kayak and paddle board manufacturers at NC Paddle Festival. Classes and workshops will be held throughout the day and a display of ancient Indian Canoes with interactive lessons will be available as well. Visit NCPaddle.org for more information.
Swansboro Derby Day
From 3pm-10pm come together on the historic Swansboro waterfront for a time of food, fashion, and fun. Derby Day will consist of a few events including a red carpet, the Derby Tasting, and live music! Don’t miss a minute of the action when you watch the Kentucky Derby live on the big screen.
